Step 1
To change the password on a Wi-Fi router, you need to connect to it. This is done either with a cable or wirelessly. Having connected, we go into the browser and enter the IP of our router in the address bar. Usually the "IP address" is indicated on a sticker somewhere on the body of the device, as well as in the documents for it. Most routers use 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 for configuration, but it can be different.
Step 2
Next, you need to log into the administrator account by entering the appropriate authorization data (username and password). If you are setting up this router for the first time, enter the parameters that are indicated in the instructions or on the device itself.
Step 3
In the menu of the router settings interface, select the section "Wi-Fi Settings", "Wireless Connection Settings" or something close to these wording (they may differ from manufacturer to manufacturer). Next, go to the subsection "Security" or "Password". We enter the old password and the new combination with which we want to replace it.
Step 4
For the changed settings to take effect, you need to click "Save" or "Apply". From now on you have a new password. The Internet connection at this point will be lost, since you have a connection with the old key. You need to log on to the network again by entering the new data. Done.
