Step 1
Find a microSD card and format it in the FAT16 file system (do not confuse with FAT32). The size of the card should not exceed 2 GB. Connect the Pocket PC to an AC power source. Step 2
After downloading, be sure to check the files in the archive for viruses and malicious code, even if you downloaded them from a trusted source. It is always best to download the firmware from the official website of the device manufacturer, however, if you download from another resource, make sure at least its operability and the presence of positive user reviews, since often a poor-quality flashing program can spoil the PDA without the possibility of self-recovery.
Step 3
Carefully read the instructions for the firmware you downloaded, usually it is in the same archive with the installation files. In some cases, see the download page for a detailed process. Follow its instructions carefully, copy the firmware files to the prepared formatted MicroSD card.
Step 4
Next, start the process according to the instructions. In some cases, you can use USB cables to connect to a computer, and sometimes only a wall charger will do. Very rarely, flashing is performed with only one battery as a power source.
Step 5
If you are not sure that you will be able to flash your Asus PDA yourself, take the device to a specialized service center, where they will install the necessary software for you with minimal damage to the device.
