Phone firmware is the software that makes it work. In most cases, phones have language packs installed according to the language of the distribution country. If you bought a phone abroad, or you have problems with the firmware, you need to reflash it.
Instructions
Step 1
Synchronize your phone with your computer. To do this, you will need a data cable, computer drivers according to your phone model, and synchronization software. If the above components are not included in the package, you can buy a data cable in a cellular store, and download the drivers from the official website or use a search engine. Please note that drivers, data cable and software must be suitable for your phone model. Install the drivers for the phone on the computer, and then connect the phone to the computer. Launch your sync software and make sure your computer "sees" your phone.
Step 2
Download the required firmware and software for flashing from the network. It is recommended to download the "clean", factory firmware. Otherwise, you may damage the device that you want to reprogram. Please note that the firmware must be suitable for the particular phone model you want to flash. After completing step # 1, copy the phone book, messages, and all personal information from the phone to the computer. Make sure the phone battery is more than 50% charged to avoid shutdown during reprogramming. Run the software and copy the firmware that is on the phone. Carry out all actions, carefully following the instructions. Disconnect your phone from your computer and restart it.
Step 3
If you doubt your abilities, contact the service center. Re-flashing is not a warranty case, therefore, if necessary, contact the warranty or service center.
