The iPhone 4S allows users to access the Internet using wireless data transmission technologies. You can use both Wi-Fi and 3G to enable you to browse the internet.
Wi-Fi
To access the Internet via Wi-Fi, you can use the corresponding item in the settings menu. In this case, you will not have to perform additional manipulations on the configuration of the phone. To make a connection, go to "Settings" - Wi-Fi. Move the slider to the right to enable data transfer. From the list offered at the bottom of the screen, select the name of the access point that you want to use for the connection. Enter the required password if required. After choosing, in a few seconds, a connection will be made and you will be able to use the Internet.
3G
To connect to the network using wireless data transmission technology via the 3G hotspot of the mobile operator, you will need to enter additional settings. If you are using iOS 6, go to Settings> General> Cellular Data> Cellular Data Network to configure settings.
For iPhone 4s with iOS 7, the 3G menu is located in Settings - Cellular - Cellular Data Network.
In the corresponding lines of the proposed options, enter the desired parameters. In the APN line, specify the address of the access point, and also write down the username and password for making the connection (if required). You can find the appropriate settings on the official website of your operator. You can also call the support of your mobile provider to clarify the required parameters. For Beeline, you need to specify home.beeline.ru or internet.beeline.ru as APN. Enter beeline in the Username and Password fields. To configure the Internet via Megafon, just write the internet value in the APN field. To access via "MTS" enter internet.mts.ru as APN. The username and password for the operator must be specified as mts.
You can also contact your mobile operator's support team to resolve the issue.
After making the settings, go to the previous menu and switch the "Cellular Data" slider to the on position. If the settings were made correctly, the EDGE or 3G icon will appear on the top panel of the smartphone screen. To access the Internet, use the browser, which can be called up through the corresponding icon on the screen. If you cannot connect to the network, restart your phone and check the specified information again.
