Step 1
Miniature laptops are usually endowed with two ports for transmitting video signals: D-Sub (VGA) and HDMI. This feature allows netbooks to be connected to almost any modern TV, be it a plasma panel or an LCD TV. Select the channel through which you will connect the devices.
Step 2
Naturally, it is better to use the HDMI port because it is designed for digital image transmission. This will ensure good picture quality. Purchase an HDMI to HDMI cable. If your TV has a DVI port instead of HDMI, then purchase an additional adapter. Connect your netbook to your TV. This operation can be performed even with the devices turned on.
Step 3
Open the TV settings menu. Find the "Signal Source" item. Select the port that you connected to the netbook. Proceed to setting up your mobile computer. Open the Personalization menu in Control Panel. Select "Connect to an external display".
Step 4
Click the Find button and wait while the system detects the new screen. Now select the TV icon and activate the item "Make this display the main". This will allow you to fine tune the image parameters.
Step 5
Click on the netbook screen icon and select "Duplicate". After activating this parameter, an identical image will be displayed on both displays.
Step 6
Open the video settings menu of the netbook. Perform detailed settings for the image transmitted to the TV. Set the frequency of the device. Adjust brightness and contrast. Modern plasma TVs are capable of operating at frequencies over 100 Hz. The mobile computer screen only supports 60. Select the desired option for each individual display.
