From time to time, users of a personal computer wonder how to output sound from it to other devices. Most often, it becomes necessary to connect a computer to a TV with a higher quality speaker system.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a special cable with Jack 3.5 connectors located at both ends. A Jack - 2 RCA adapter will also work. Connect the audio output from your computer to the corresponding ports on your TV.
Step 2
Turn on your TV and computer. When the operating system finishes loading, run the sound card setup program, after making sure that the port being used is active. Then customize it appropriately. Specify "Front Speakers" as the speaker type.
Step 3
Find the Sound Source option in the TV menu. Specify the port used to connect to your computer. Start the audio player and try to play an arbitrary track. Set the appropriate equalizer settings.
Step 4
Try sending audio from your computer to your TV using HDMI. Buy a cable with a matching port on both ends. Use it to connect your computer to your TV. Select this port in the TV settings as the main audio signal receiver. Open Control Panel on your computer and select Hardware and Sound.
Step 5
Open Manage Sound Devices. The Playback submenu should contain the Speakers item. Click on the HDMI Output icon and click Properties. Select "Use this device".
Step 6
Press the "Default" key back to the previous menu. Check the signal quality by playing the audio track. Please note that the HDMI channel is used for high quality digital signal transmission. If you have a high-quality speaker system connected to your TV, use this channel to output sound from your computer.
