If you are going to record something on a computer using a microphone and output high-quality sound, then you need to use the special instructions to properly set up the microphone and get a clear recording.
Necessary
- - a computer with Internet access;
- - microphone;
- - applications for recording sound.
Instructions
Step 1
Try to use the best quality microphone for sound output. With a cheap microphone, you will get the appropriate sound anyway. You can perform a variety of manipulations with the recorded sound, but it will still be noticeable that you used not very high-quality equipment. At the same time, for good sound output to your computer, you can connect a microphone via USB to a professional digital mixer.
Step 2
Adjust the microphone recording quality in your operating system's sound settings. To do this, go to the "Settings Wizard" and start performing the proposed actions. Move the microphone 3-5 cm away from you as needed and change the displayed settings in the menu until the microphone sensitivity level is adjusted properly. As soon as a request comes in, speak into the microphone while continuing to move it until you are satisfied with the results. After completing the settings, save the result by clicking "Finish". Remember, if the microphone is too close to your face, your voice will sound too harsh when recording, but if it is far away, it will simply not be heard.
Step 3
Download and install on your computer such professional audio software for working with sound as Cakewalk, Audacity and Adobe Premiere. Open the File menu and choose the New action, then try recording something through your microphone. In the menu, specify the path to the required directory and click "Save". So, you have brought your own recording to the computer. Now we need to work on it a bit.
Step 4
Take advantage of the special tools of these applications to improve the recording quality. You can also select a separate part of it for processing. Go to the main menu and use the items "Edit" or "Effects". Try using tools such as Stereo Expansion, Noise Reduction, or some others to improve the sound of your recording.
