HTC Wildfile - a smartphone on the Android platform, the old version is quite old - 2.1. Installation of applications into it is carried out through the Google virtual store - "Play Market".
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure your phone is connected to the Internet at an unlimited rate and is on your home network. Be sure to set the time and especially the date correctly. Without this, the entrance to the virtual store is impossible, and the error message does not indicate why it occurred. Find the Play Store in the list of applications. If it has not yet been updated to a new version (this may be the case if the device was recently formatted), the program may be called Google Play or even Android Market. After the update, it will receive its current name.
Step 2
If the smartphone is not yet linked to any of the Google accounts, you will be prompted to make such a link. You can use your existing Gmail account by entering your username and password. You can also create a new one both from your computer (via the Gmail web interface) and from your smartphone itself. In the second case, you will be asked to fill in text fields with different data (name, nickname, password, etc.) on several screens. After entering the data on one screen, proceed to the next by clicking the "Next" button. After creating an account, you can start using the "Market".
Step 3
After entering the Play Store, you will see which applications users install most often, which of them are selected by the editors as the most high-quality, interesting, and so on. A search bar appears at the top of the screen. Click on it - a keyboard will appear. Type in the name of the desired application, and a list of programs matching the search criteria will be loaded. Choose the one you want. If it's free, an "Install" button will appear. Click on it and you will see a list of permissions that the application requires.
Step 4
Refuse the installation if the program requires permissions that clearly do not correspond to its purpose, for example, sending SMS, dialing numbers - for any program, access to the camera, microphone for an application that is clearly not intended for audio recording, photography, video shooting. But if the application only needs access to the Internet, and it shows banners, you can not be afraid to install it - most likely, it needs a global network to download banners.
Step 5
Antivirus should be the first application to be installed. Only after it can you put others. Antivirus can be lightweight and free, but it must be of a well-known brand. It must be kept constantly running, updated in time (or turn on automatic updating, turning it off only for the period of being in roaming), periodically carry out full checks. You cannot keep more than one antivirus on the device.
Step 6
When installing a paid application, instead of the "Install" button, there will be a button with its price. After clicking on it, you will be asked to choose a payment method. If you choose a bank card, you will have to enter its details. Make sure it belongs to you personally. Enter the card data from the standard Android keyboard, not an alternative one.
Step 7
The safest option is to use disposable virtual cards with a limited spending limit. You can get them in some payment terminals. Such a card is a check printed by the terminal. Some operators also allow you to pay for applications in the Market using your SIM card account.
