Sony PlayStation games are released on special UMD optical discs that are only supported by PSPs. To run console games on your computer, you must use emulator programs.
Instructions
Step 1
Search the internet and download the free ePSXe software. For example, you can use the official website https://www.epsxe.com/ or any torrent. To make it easier to customize the application, find the Russian version. Run the ePSXe setup wizard. Click the Get Started button.
Step 2
Go to the "Settings" section and select "BIOS". Here you can configure the program to protect the computer's ROM and control the hardware of the set-top box. In the window that opens, click on the "Select" button and select one of the BIOSes located in the / ePSXe / bios folder. Confirm your choice and close the window.
Step 3
Open the video settings. Specify the type of video plugin and click the "Configure" button. A window will appear with many options. If your computer is powerful enough, then you can go directly to the Default Settings block and select Nice, and for weak PCs - Fast. As a result, the settings will be installed automatically, but it is better to set them manually. After specifying all the parameters, click the "OK" button and close the video settings.
Step 4
Adjust the sound. To do this, first select a plugin for it. Below in the window that opens, the types of audio tracks are listed. Be sure to check the third item "Enable HA sound". The rest are activated at your discretion. Then click the "Configure" button and enter your preferred options.
Step 5
Select the "CD-ROM" item in the settings menu. Select the plugin again and specify the required settings for it. Be sure to specify in the Drive section the drive that you will use to read discs with Sony PlayStation games. In the Interface item, select the interface for working with the drive, which is designed for different operating systems.
Step 6
Specify joystick settings. Here, just specify the keys that will correspond to certain commands. Save the settings, insert the Sony PlayStation game disc into the drive and choose Run CD-Rom from the File menu.
