Depending on the purpose, three types of blocking can be distinguished in Nokia phones: blocking the phone, SIM card and the operator's network. In each case, a certain sequence of actions is required.
Instructions
Step 1
Locking the phone for the operator means that it is impossible to use the phone on a network other than the original one. This is used to secure customers and complicate the possibility of switching to another operator. This practice is most common abroad. If your case fits this description, contact the operator to which your cell phone is assigned. Tell the imei code that is under the battery of your cell. Request an unlock code, which must be entered when you turn on the phone with a different SIM card.
Step 2
The PIN code of the SIM card is intended for protection in case of loss or theft. In case you forgot it, you can find it on the packaging for the SIM card. You have three attempts to enter it, otherwise you will need to enter the pack code, which is also located on the package from the SIM card. Enter it, after which you can enter a new pin code. In case you have lost the packaging from the SIM card, contact your operator's office for a replacement. Show your passport and give your phone number, after which you will receive a new SIM card.
Step 3
In the event that the lock of your phone is associated with a code for accessing the phone's memory or accessing the phone in principle, you can either use the code to reset the firmware or reset the settings, or reflash the phone. When using codes, the most reliable way is to get them from a Nokia representative. You can either refer to the contacts located on the website wwww.nokia.com, or contact an authorized Nokia service. Please note that using the firmware reset code will erase all your data.
Step 4
Re-flashing - updating the firmware responsible for the functioning of the mobile phone. In order to carry out this operation, synchronize your phone with your computer. Install drivers and software, then connect your phone to your computer. Reflash the phone using software and original firmware. All the software you need can be found on the website www.nokia.com, as well as fan sites dedicated to Nokia phones. Use only software for which detailed instructions are available. Otherwise, it is advisable to contact the service center.
