You can send a message to the UK from your mobile phone, but there is a more convenient way - using special sites. SMS sending services are free, but some sites require registration.
Instructions
Step 1
To send a message to a UK number from your mobile phone, dial +44. Next, enter the eight-digit subscriber number. There should be 10 digits in total. Check the cost of an outgoing message with your telecom operator, and for the addressee it will be free.
Step 2
To send a free message via the CardBoardFish SMS service, go to the website www.cbfsms.com. In the special field that you will see on this page, enter the text, its length should not exceed 137 characters. Use an English keyboard layout: Cyrillic text will not work. Enter the subscriber's number in ten-digit form. Since the country code (44) is registered, enter only the phone numbers. To the right of the input field, you will see an example of spelling. The message can only be delivered to the numbers of English telecom operators. When your message is ready, click Send SMS. The system guarantees instant SMS delivery to the addressee. You can also connect the notification system that it has come to the subscriber. The message is free for the addressee
Step 3
Register on the English site www.freebiesms.co.uk. To do this, create a login, come up with a password and fill out the address book, since without this the system will not allow you to send messages. Write down the addressee's name, mobile phone number and email address. After logging into the system using your username, enter the message text in a special window. Select from the address book the person to whom you want to send SMS, write your own number. Remember that on this site the format of English numbers looks like this: 0044 + subscriber number. The system delivers messages not only to the phones of English, but also other European operators. Sending SMS is free, but the site warns against sending messages for advertising purposes.
