A tablet computer from Google called the Nexus 7 was unveiled at a trade show in June 2012. This is the first tablet in the Nexus line to be released by the said company. Naturally, this device works with the Android system.
The 7-inch Nexus 7 tablet is 10.5mm thick. It is far from the thinnest tablet, but its weight is comparatively low (340g). In addition, the device has a distinctive feature: the back wall is made of a relatively soft plastic material. There is only one speaker hole on the back. The camera, like many 7-inch counterparts, is missing.
At the heart of the Nexus 7 tablet computer is a 4-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. Each core is clocked at 1.2 GHz. It is possible to increase the performance of the CPU by raising the frequency to 1.3 GHz. The amount of RAM is 1 GB. This is quite enough, given the high performance of the installed RAM modules.
The internal storage has a capacity of 8 GB. In addition, there is a model with 16 GB of memory. Its price is expected to be $ 50 higher. The obvious disadvantage of this tablet is the lack of a memory expansion slot. Those. the user will not be able to connect a microSD card or other format to the device. The Nexus 7 measures 198.5 x 120 x 10.45 mm.
Naturally, the tablet contains modules for connecting to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networks. Also, the computer is equipped with a GPS system. The maximum matrix resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels. That's not bad for a 7-inch display. The screen brightness of 400 nits surpasses all expectations.
As expected, the Nexus 7 tablet runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The initial loading of the device takes a relatively long time - 35 seconds. Fortunately, after gaining access to OS functions, this disadvantage is simply forgotten. According to the test results, the Google Nexus 7 device is faster than its larger counterparts. With an active Wi-Fi module and running video playback, the tablet works for almost 10 hours. The device is currently priced at nearly $ 200 for residents in the US, UK and Canada.
