iPad mini is the youngest model of the third generation Apple iPad tablet computer, the official presentation of which potential buyers and specialists have been expecting for several months. However, so far there is no information from the company itself either about the start of sales, or about the date of the presentation, or about the technical characteristics, as well as the fact that they are going to produce it at all.
The older brother of the expected device - the full-scale Internet tablet Apple iPad 3 - was demonstrated on March 7 this year in San Francisco. Soon after this date, rumors began to appear about the upcoming baby Apple iPad mini. The company itself did not react to them in any way, and its previous leader - Steve Jobs - last year spoke about the inexpediency of further reducing the size of the Apple tablet. Nevertheless, in the past months, information about the allegedly preparing for production of a device from mysterious insiders has regularly surfaced in the network media. There were also concepts with numbers, drawings and photographs of a budget tablet, created by various designers on their own initiative. However, Apple remains silent on this issue.
It is possible that some clarity with the iPad mini will come in the fall - in September the company plans to present its new products to the general public. In the meantime, if we put together the most recent and plausible rumors, we can assume that this mythical device will have a screen with a diagonal of 7.8 inches and a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. The thickness of the device can be 7.2 mm, and the weight is 265 grams - both indicators are one-third less than that of the potential competitor Google Nexus 7. With such parameters, the distance from the touch screen to the edges of the case will be almost zero on the right, while the top and bottom will remain comparable in proportion to those of a full-size iPad. Instead of one "rocker button" to adjust the volume of the sound, two separate keys will be placed on the body. The price of the device will range from $ 199 to $ 299 and will vary depending on the additional hardware built into it. For example, it is assumed that iPad mini models will be produced both with a 3G module, supplemented with a camera on the back of the case, and without them.
