There are two options for watching TV sea otters from a mobile computer. You can watch programs online or connect a TV tuner.
Instructions
Step 1
In the first case, you need Internet access. Go to the official website of the desired TV channel and turn on the live broadcast. This method has obvious disadvantages. Firstly, not all television channels broadcast on the Internet, and secondly, for stable playback of streaming video in on-line mode, a sufficiently high speed of Internet access is required.
Step 2
If you are not satisfied with this option, get a TV tuner. In this case, you need to use an external device connected via the USB port. Internal tuners are designed for installation in the system unit of a stationary computer. Connect the equipment to AC power and turn it on.
Step 3
Connect the tuner to the laptop's USB port. Install the software required to tune the tuner and play the desired channels. Restart the mobile computer to complete the installation of individual components. Connect the coaxial cable from the antenna to the corresponding jack on the TV tuner. Turn on the installed program and activate the automatic search for available TV channels.
Step 4
Select the ones you do not need and delete these channels. Fine tune the remaining TV channels. Sometimes it is necessary to connect an additional cable to carry out audio signal transmission. Use it to connect the Audio Out channel of the TV tuner to the Audio In port of the laptop sound card.
Step 5
Open the sound card settings and set the port connected to the TV tuner as the main source of audio signal. In laptops, as a rule, boards with configurable ports are used. Be sure to indicate the purpose of the channel you are using. Remember that the TV tuner must be connected to AC power. If this is not very convenient, then use a miniature adapter that connects the USB port to the antenna cable.
