The convenience of using the Internet from a mobile device depends on the browser settings. The phone settings allow you to adjust some parameters for displaying pages, saving data, privacy settings. Changing these options will make surfing the Internet as efficient and convenient as possible.
Instructions
Step 1
Enter the phone menu and go to the "Browser" section. Press the left softkey of the device to bring up the context menu. Select the "Settings" or "Options" section.
Step 2
In the Scale section, specify how much the page will be enlarged when it is displayed on the screen. In the "Text encoding" section, you must select the character set used when displaying text information. Change the encoding only if unreadable characters appear on the screen.
Step 3
Disabling the "Download graphics" option allows you to save a large amount of traffic on your phone, which is critical for tariffs of mobile operators with limited Internet access. The Allow JavaScript option enables support for running active scripts on the page (for example, playing video or audio). This option should be disabled if the amount of data transmitted and received is a very important parameter for you. Enabling JS also slows down the phone.
Step 4
The "Clear cache" section allows you to delete data about downloaded web documents. The cache stores the visited pages. If necessary, they are used when re-visiting the site, which has a positive effect on the speed of the Internet. However, you should periodically clean it up, as a large amount of information accumulates over time, and this negatively affects the speed of the browser and phone.
Step 5
Opera Mini has several additional settings that are not available in standard phone browsing programs. For example, the "Economical Search" parameter makes it possible to search the site, even if it is not provided by the resource developers. And using the menu "Tools" - "About the page" - "Download images", you can save a non-phone picture from the selected document.
