Step 1
Initially, you need to make sure that the PIN code provided by the operator is working. To do this, set the PIN lock option on your phone. Open the main menu of your mobile phone, then go to the section of its settings ("Settings" or "Parameters"). In this section, you need to find the item "Security Settings" and go to it. Here you will see the Set PIN menu.
Step 2
Go to this menu and enter a valid pin code. If you don't know it, you can look at it on a plastic card, which initially acts as a case for a SIM card. After you enter the code, save the settings. Remove the SIM card from your cell phone and try using it on another cell phone. If the device asks for a PIN code when turning it on, then the previously entered PIN is valid. Remove the sim card and insert it into your phone.

Now you need to open the main menu of the cell phone again. Here also go to the "Security Settings" section. Further actions will be slightly different from the previous ones. First, you need to disable the PIN code request on your phone. This can be done in the pin setup menu. After the code request is disabled, you can change the PIN. To do this, open the "Change PIN" section, which will be located in the security settings menu. Enter the old code and then assign a new PIN. This way you will be able to change the code. On some phone models, the steps may differ slightly from the steps described above. In general, the procedure for changing the personal code of a SIM card looks the same on any phone, only the names of the menu can differ.
