Instructions
Step 1
Research the type and specifications of your vehicle in order to obtain the right navigation system. There are dozens of brands, models of navigators in various price ranges. The most popular parameter when choosing car navigation systems, in addition to cost, is their portability, that is, the ability to quickly remove them from the car and further use them for their own purposes.
Step 2
Please refer to the instruction manual of your car navigation system before installing it. Most modern navigator models require very few tools and relatively any vehicle modification.
Step 3
Decide where in the car you will place the navigation system. Some people prefer to place it to the left of the steering wheel or on the windshield, but the best solution is to place the device on the dashboard, since this gives the GPS antenna the most accessible output to the satellites. Make sure that the car has all the necessary contacts to connect the system.
Step 4
Start installing the satellite system at the selected location. Some models come with a suction cup mount for the panel or windshield. Others have special magnets and mounts for the dashboard, but during a sudden stop or sharp turns, such a structure can begin to move involuntarily. It is best to use the classic bolt fastening, which takes a little longer to install, but still holds the device securely.
Step 5
Download the required terrain maps to the device and complete the equipment setup according to the instructions included in the kit.
