When choosing the right projector, the screen is just as important. A poor quality product can ruin the whole presentation experience. So what are the steps you need to take to buy the right quality device?

Step 1
Choose the most suitable screen size. Estimate the space of the room. Calculate how many people will be watching the presentation. As a general rule, the height of the screen should be one-sixth of the distance from the screen to the farthest row.

Make sure the bottom of the projection screen is 120 cm above the floor. Or do it in such a way that its middle is just above the eye level of the audience.
Step 3
Select the correct aspect ratio for the projector screen. The two most common sizes are 460: 270 and 120: 90. If you plan to watch movies on a projector, give preference to the wider format. However, if you need to use the projector for general presentations and slideshows, then a 120: 90 aspect ratio screen will be most acceptable.
Step 4
Determine the type of material from which the screen is to be made. This will be influenced by the projector you are using and the characteristics of the room where all the equipment will be installed. A matte screen is best if you have a lot of control over the lighting conditions in a room. It provides a pleasantly soft picture that will not fatigue your eyes during extended viewing.
Step 5
Consider other options as well. If you are using a projector with a lower light output, choose a tall matte screen. This type has a "gain", which makes it more suitable for work in poorly lit rooms.
Step 6
Decide how you will position the screen. They will work more reliably on walls and ceilings. But this is only if it will be in one place, for example, for home watching movies. If you need to move your projector frequently, a portable screen is a great choice. It is usually mounted on a tripod and manually operated.
