Any user of household appliances must clearly understand one rule for themselves: so that the appliances do not break, they need care. The microwave oven is no exception. Step 1
Find out the cause of the breakdown before proceeding with the repair. Open the microwave door. Examine the mica pad. It is located on the side surface of the camera and covers the waveguide. If the integrity of the mica gasket is broken and even traces of burning are visible, then you will have to work hard to repair the microwave.
Step 2
Locate the pins that hold the mica pad to the surface of the case. Remove it from the camera and carefully clean it. Take care not to damage the surface. Use a soft cloth or washcloth and some rubbing alcohol. Then wipe the area of the case to which the gasket was directly attached.
Step 3
If severe damage is visible on the case, cover it with a special heat-resistant paint. If the gasket is cracked, glue it with superglue or Moment. If its damage is too serious, then in order to fix the microwave, buy a new gasket and reinstall it.
Step 4
Check fuse. If, after replacing the gasket and cleaning the case, the microwave oven does not start working, then the problem may be in it. Take a Phillips screwdriver, remove the case cover. There should be an electrical diagram of the device under it.
Step 5
Find the surge protector card. The mains fuse must be located on it. To fix your microwave oven, replace the old blown fuse with a working new one. Return all parts of the microwave to their original places. Then try turning on the microwave.
Step 6
If it turns on, try heating a glass of water in it to check if it works. If you succeed, you can use the microwave for its intended purpose. Remember the most important rule: never reheat food in a microwave oven in metal dishes or in dishes containing metal elements or dust.
