Step 1
Check the memory card by inserting another flash memory into the camera's slot. Then check the pins of the memory slot, they should not be bent or oxidized. Take the finest sandpaper and gently try to clean the contacts, and use a thin needle to clean the nozzles (contact holes) in the memory card.

If the battery does not hold a charge at all or is discharged very quickly, replace it with a similar battery. If the camera is restored to work, then the battery has undergone a "memory effect". This happens when an incompletely discharged battery is recharged over a long period of time many times.
Step 3
If there is a malfunction or deformation of the lens: turn off the camera, remove the battery. If the lens is removable, disconnect it, wipe the contacts and rubber interface elements with isopropyl alcohol, and blow out all the grooves from a special can of compressed air.
Step 4
If the lens of the camera is not removable, then it is better not to disassemble the camera, just fix all the rubber seals with a sharp needle and clean with compressed air.
Step 5
If the device has been dropped into water: remove the rechargeable battery or batteries. Now the camera needs to be dried well, for this open all the shutters, if possible, remove the camera cover.
Wait 2-3 days until the camera is completely dry, and in no case turn it on earlier to check whether it works or not. The camera must be properly looked after, handled with care, protected from falls, moisture and sand getting inside, and you must be especially careful with the lens. You cannot wipe it too often, you need to do this in one motion, lightly pressing the fabric. After all, even a very small speck on the lens can make a big scratch, which will certainly affect the quality of the pictures.
