The iPod is considered the benchmark for ergonomics and sound reproduction. However, you can often find those who are dissatisfied with the volume of the music being played. In order to make your iPod even louder than it is, you can use one of the simple methods.
Instructions
Step 1
Synchronize your player with your computer. To do this, download and install the iTunes software from apple.com. After installation, connect your player to your computer. Go to the iPod menu. In the Settings menu, you can find the playback volume limit. Uncheck it, if present, set the playback volume to 100% and check the box.
Step 2
Most iPods, with the exception of the shuffle series, have a built-in equalizer. In order to increase the volume, you can maximize all levels of the reproduced frequencies.
Step 3
Use an audio editor to increase the volume of a track. The best option would be to use Adobe Audition or Sony Sound Forge. Apply the Normalize or Volume Up effect. Test the track before applying changes, as euphony can be lost during editing. You can also change the playback frequency range by increasing those frequencies that you think are not loud enough. To do this, use a graphic equalizer.
Step 4
For processing several tracks at once, the best option would be to use the Mp3Gain program. It is free and supports an infinite number of tracks to increase the volume. Keep in mind that changes made during editing cannot be reversed, so apply them to the copies, not to the file itself.
Step 5
Use low impedance headphones. Most are 32 ohms, so your goal is a 16 ohm headphone. You can also use noise canceling headphones to provide the best sound isolation you need for comfortable sound.
