Ten years ago, it was possible to work safely on a computer without installing anti-virus programs, observing simple precautions. Today it is almost impossible, as thousands of malicious programs are spread on the World Wide Web. One of the types is an SMS virus, penetrating into your computer, it blocks the operation of some files and processes, annoyingly demanding to send an SMS message with a certain text to the specified number.
Instructions
Step 1
Practice shows that even when sending a message and entering the appropriate code, the malicious action of the virus does not stop, and up to several thousand rubles can be debited from the mobile phone account. Hence the main rule: do not send any sms at the request of a virus program.
Step 2
First of all, check your computer with an antivirus program. If the first step does not work, click Start / Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore and start Checkpoint System Restore.
Step 3
If the previous recommendations are not successful, boot your computer in Safe Mode. To do this, restart and, while the computer is booting, press the F8 key, select safe boot mode.
Step 4
It is necessary to disable System Restore (right-click on the "My Computer" / Properties / System Restore icon, check the "Disable System Restore" checkbox).
Step 5
In safe mode, scan your computer with antivirus utilities: first Drweb CureIt, AVZ, Trojan Remover. Antivirus utilities can be downloaded from the manufacturers' websites.
Step 6
While staying in safe mode, carefully check the startup items and remove any suspicious programs. Check the registry path (Start / regedit), remove all unnecessary and suspicious. Reboot and check the result.
