First of all, check the phone case. It should be made of materials stated in the description, and their quality should be above average. They should not bend when pressed, squeaks and loose parts are unacceptable. The phone model should look exactly like on the box, the proportions should be kept exactly.
Step 2
Pay attention to the inner panel of the phone, located behind the battery. It should not have extra slots for SIM cards or flash cards, except for those stated in the technical description of the phone. The phone must have certification stickers. Also, you should clearly see your phone's serial number and IMEI number.
Step 3
Avoid TV tuner phones. In the vast majority, only Chinese manufacturers build this function into devices. When buying a phone "with a TV", you are buying a known "gray" phone that is not certified and does not have a guarantee.

When turning on the phone, pay attention to the display. It should be bright and clear, with the resolution stated in the description. Screen graininess and “burnt-out” pixels are unacceptable. The menu items must correspond to the technical specifications, i.e. the phone should be endowed with only those functions that it is endowed with in the instructions.

If you do not have time for such a thorough examination of the phone, it is enough to enter a short command * # 06 #, after which the IMEI number of the phone should be displayed on the screen. The IMEI number is the identification number of the phone. The numbers displayed on the screen must match those found on the back of the phone. In case there is no IMEI number on the back panel, look for the serial number (S / N). The last six digits of the IMEI number that appear on the screen must match the serial number under the back cover. In case the numbers do not match or the * # 06 # command does not work, you should know that there is a "gray" phone in front of you.
