Pay attention to the physical size of the matrix for the proposed purchase. Look at the number of megapixels. Here, not everything is as straightforward as it might seem at first glance. The more pixels are placed on the matrix, the smaller the size of the pixel itself, the less light will fall on each pixel, and hence the noise. On two identical matrices, the noise will be less for the one with the lower number of megapixels. Pay attention to an important point - the size of the photos. A 6 Mpix camera has a resolution of 2816x2112, a 12 Mpix camera has a 4000x3000 resolution, and to print a 10x15 cm photo you need a resolution of 1800x1200 pixels. Do you need such a large resolution?
Step 3
Check out the possibilities of optical zoom. In general, 4x - 6x zoom is sufficient for most situations. If you choose 10x zoom for yourself and want to photograph at an artist's concert, then you will not succeed. To do this, you need a camera from a different category with a dedicated telephoto lens. Here you will not have enough light, and a high magnification will create a large distortion of the picture. In addition, due to the large zoom, the price of a camera rises significantly.
Step 4
Pay attention to the display. The larger the screen size, the easier it is to view the footage, and with a higher resolution - to examine it in detail. If the display is rotatable, it will be more convenient to shoot at different levels (above the head, from the waist level).
Step 5
See what type of battery is being used. If these are standard AA batteries, then it is advisable for you to purchase 2 sets of AA batteries (one for the camera, the other for stock) and a charger for them. If these are batteries of their own format, this is more convenient. It charges quickly, there is no need to buy a charger (it is included), however, a spare battery is not cheap.
