Google Play is an application store for Android devices. With the help of the service, owners of devices can download and install both free and paid programs. Search in the store is carried out using an application preinstalled on devices with an operating system.
Free software
The Google Play Store (in earlier versions of the Android Market) has an extensive collection of apps in its catalog. At the same time, there are 34 categories in the store, according to which the programs available for the operating system are sorted. Free software is available in each of the categories presented, and in terms of quality it is often not inferior to its paid counterparts.
The launch of Google Play is carried out through the program shortcut of the same name located on the main screen or in the menu of the mobile device. After opening the store for the first time, you will be prompted to accept the terms of use of the service. Then you will be presented with a list of categories by which you can select the desired application. Go to the appropriate section and see the list of programs that are available in the store. At the bottom of each block with the name of the application for free programs will be indicated the parameter "Free". To download and install the application without prepayment, just click on the "Install" button on the corresponding page of the selected program. If you want to see a list of only free applications in front of you, go to the "Free" tab. To search for a specific item, you can use the search button available at the top of the device screen.
Paid programs
Paid applications can only be installed after the required payment has been made. The list of purchased programs is available both in the general sections of all applications, and in a separate "Paid" tab of Google Play. As a rule, such utilities are hosted by large developers who actively support their software product.
Paid applications often work more stable and have advanced functionality compared to their free counterparts. Among other advantages of the programs is their guaranteed stable operation during use. However, sometimes there are exceptions and some paid utilities may lag behind free ones in quality and functionality, so you should carefully study the application before buying.
To install a paid program, click on the price button on the Google Play page. After that, you will be prompted to select a payment method. Check the option that is most convenient for you and enter the required details to complete the transaction, then click "Pay". As soon as the payment procedure is completed, the installation of the required application will begin, which can be launched after the corresponding notification appears in the status bar at the top of the device screen.
