Necessary

  • * Ethernet device to connect to the internet
  • * Ethernet Powerline Switch with 4 ports
  • * One port Powerline Ethernet adapter
  • * up to 5 Ethernet Cables

Instructions

Step 1

Purchase a bluetooth headset kit that includes one 4-port Ethernet Powerline and one Ethernet Powerline adapter. You can buy such a kit both in a computer store and in an online store.

Step 2

Purchase a broadband modem / router. You will need to connect an Ethernet adapter to this router. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the base panel of the Ethernet Powerline adapter.

Step 3

Plug the Ethernet Powerline adapter into the surge protector. Do not plug the adapter directly into a regular electrical outlet or wall outlet because they do not use overvoltage protection. The surge protector protects against short circuits and power outages.

Step 4

Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into an open Ethernet port on your modem / router. The Ethernet port looks like a telephone port, but is slightly larger.

Step 5

Connect the 4-port Ethernet Powerline switch. Plug one end of the power cord into the surge protector and the other end into the back panel of the Ethernet Powerline switch.

Step 6

Do not plug the Ethernet Powerline power cord into a wall outlet that does not use a safety-transfer system, as a result of which the switch may not work.

Step 7

Connect Blu-ray Player with 4 ports Ethernet Powerline switch.

Step 8

Plug one end of the 2nd Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port.

Step 9

Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port or LAN port on the back of the Blu-ray Player.
