Mobile Internet, multimedia messaging, video communication using mobile gadgets and smartphones have become commonplace. But all this has its own price, which depends on the pricing policy of the mobile operator. It's one thing when it's clear what the money is spent on the phone. But another thing is when money disappears from the phone in an unknown direction.
Instructions
Step 1
Balance check.
When it seems that money is leaving the phone wherever it should go, or there is a feeling that money from the wallet has started to go to the phone's balance more often, it is worth keeping statistics on the balance of the SIM card where the money goes. You can do this yourself, just once a day, preferably in the morning, checking the phone balance with a special USSD request. It is different for different operators. For example, to check the balance of the Megafon SIM card, you need to dial * 100 #, and then press the call button. This is best done in the morning, as funds are debited from the balance most often at midnight. For example, this is how funds are debited for mobile Internet services. In this case, there is confidence in how much money will leave the phone. But if more money went from the phone than planned, you need to find out from the mobile operator what services are assigned to the phone number.
Step 2
Balance detailing.
In order to find out the availability of additional subscriptions and subscriber services for a phone number, you can use several methods. The easiest one is to call the customer support service. It is different for each mobile phone service provider. Another way is to go to the official website of the company, whose clients are a mobile user, and enter the personal account assigned to each subscriber. There is always information about what services are connected to the number and what is their cost. For some, the subscription fee is charged every day, others are paid monthly.
Step 3
Disabling additional services.
After the balance and phone number have been checked for the presence of charged subscription fees, you can disconnect from a number of them. To do this, you need to use two methods:
1) Call the operator's support service. As soon as the client is identified, he will be able to turn off certain services at will without any problems.
2) Using a personal internet account. An unnecessary one is selected from the list of connected services and disconnected in a few mouse clicks.
Step 4
Services not provided by a cellular operator.
The fact is that on the Internet there are many dubious services: drawing up personal horoscopes, finding out the secret of a surname, downloading dubious files when entering a mobile phone, etc. All of these are sources of increased risk for those who subscribe to these services and point out their mobile numbers to dishonest Internet merchants. In order to get rid of them, you need to perform several steps:
1) Carefully read the information on the website where the mobile number was entered. Not the one that is replete with different colors and is striking, but the one that is most often indicated at the bottom of the page in small print. It will be there that it will be said how much is debited from the account for using the services and what will need to be done to disable them if the person still subscribes to them.
2) Disconnection of the service. This can be either a call to the service subscriber support service (most often this number has the form 8-800-…), or sending a specific SMS message to a specified number. It is quite possible that even for disconnecting the service, funds will be debited from the phone, but in the future money will not be lost from it.
