Among the variety of commercially available sound amplifiers, not everyone can find a model that is suitable in terms of price-quality ratio. In such a situation, with some experience, you can assemble the amplifier yourself. And the competent manufacture of the case plays an important role in this process.

Instructions

Step 1

Make an aluminum case. The amplifier cabinet must be free of wood and steel (except for mounting screws). Remember that an amplifier enclosure is a heatsink and a shield at the same time.

Step 2

Make blanks for the body. For this, hollow aluminum beams are suitable, which are used in 12/14-storey buildings of the P46 and P55 series to protect windows in corner entrances. Saw such a beam along, and you get a U-shaped profile that can be used to make the side walls of the body and internal partitions. You can also use an aluminum corner 15 × 15 mm or more by sawing it into pieces of the length you need.

Step 3

Take duralumin plates with a thickness of 3 mm or more to make the bottom and lid of the case. You can also use a special decorative profile that is used for cladding all kinds of building structures. If you plan to combine an amplifier and an FM exciter, make one wall of the case from a single piece of beam. Place the frequency control circuits and generator board in the resulting cavity.

Step 4

Provide a separate compartment for each amplifier stage. An exception may be the first two low-power cascades, you can place them in a common compartment. Place in separate compartment and outlet filter.

Step 5

Measure the dimensions of the boards and compartments, then if it is necessary to dismantle the board, you will not need to remove the walls of the case. Make vertical cuts in the bulkheads to allow the connecting cables to pass through. Do not attach cables and boards to the side walls of the case, fix them to the bottom. This approach will make it easier for you to further adjust the amplifier.

Step 6

Pay particular attention to sizing the outer panels of the enclosure, between which there are no visible gaps. Between the internal partitions, gaps of 0.3-0.5 mm are allowed.
