Microsoft has released a new operating system Windows 10. Users of previous versions - Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 - can upgrade the platform for free during the first year after the release.

Instructions
Step 1
First, the new operating system must be backed up. This is done very simply. Find the Windows tile icon in the right corner of the taskbar and click on it. We confirm the desire to update the system by clicking "Reserve a free update". Enter your email address to receive a notification by mail, although this is not required. If suddenly there is no update icon on the toolbar, you need to install all updates for the current version of Windows.
Step 2
After you reserve the update, Windows 10 files will start downloading to your computer. This process will not start immediately, you may have to wait a few days. The download takes place in the background so as not to interfere with you. You can track the download progress in the "Switch to Windows 10" application (the same icon in the right corner of the taskbar). When all the necessary files have been downloaded and the system is ready for installation, a corresponding notification appears. Update when it suits you - Windows 10 is already with you and is not going anywhere. By the way, while Windows is not up to date, the backup can be canceled at any time.
