You don't need any complicated tools to service your bike at home - get a screwdriver and a universal wrench from a hardware store.

One of the problems that can happen with a bike is brake looseness. To tighten the bicycle brake and increase the safety of the ride, unscrew the shaped nut at the base of the brake lever with a wrench and fix the wheel located on the nut.

If you need to loosen rather than tighten the brake, first unscrew the wheel, and then unscrew the nut. You can also tweak the brake by loosening the nut that secures the brake cable to the wheel rim. Pull the loosened cable toward you and tighten the nut back.
Step 4
Another type of malfunction is associated with the "figure eight", which leads to deviations of the wheel rim to the left or right. To straighten the figure eight, purchase a specialized tool - a bicycle spoke wrench.
Step 5
Lock the bike and start spinning the damaged wheel to determine if the rim deflects to the left or right. If deflected to the left, loosen the left knitting needles and tighten the right, and if deflected to the right, loosen the right knitting needles and tighten the left.
Step 6
An extremely common breakdown in the practice of cyclists is a puncture of the camera. Even a beginner cyclist can repair a camera - you need a first aid kit for repairs. The kit can be purchased at any bike store.
Step 7
Free the wheel from the brake pads and remove it by unscrewing the nuts. Unscrew the nipple cap and remove the tire, hooking it up so as not to tear the rubber. Remove the chamber and inflate it with a pump to locate the puncture site.
Step 8
For puncture detection, you can also place the inflated chamber in a basin of water - you will immediately notice where the air is coming from. Once you know where the camera is punctured, remove it from the water, deflate the air, and then clean the puncture site with fine sandpaper and cut out the patch. Apply glue to the patch, wait a couple of minutes and press it firmly against the camera for 5-7 minutes.
Step 9
After the adhesive on the patch has dried, pump the chamber again and check for air escaping elsewhere. Bleed the air from the tube and place it in the tire, which then slide over the wheel rim. Screw the wheel to the bike and reinstall the brake pads.
