Step 1
HP Pavilion series notebooks have two channels for connecting an external display: VGA and HDMI. This is a standard set that allows both analog and digital signal transmission. Naturally, it is better to use the HDMI port when connecting a TV, because this will provide high quality picture and eliminate the need to connect an additional audio cable. Connect the HDMI-HDMI of the laptop to the TV.
Step 2
Turn on your TV and mobile PC and wait for both devices to boot. Open the TV settings menu. Find the "Signal Source" item and select the HDMI port (there may be several of them) to which you connected the laptop.
Step 3
Proceed to setting up your mobile computer. Open Control Panel and select the Appearance and Personalization menu. Find and open the Display menu. Select "Connect an external display". In the window that opens, click the "Find" button and wait for the definition of the second display.
Step 4
Now activate the function "Extend this screen", having previously selected the graphic image of the laptop screen. This will allow you to use both displays in sync. Now you can run various programs and applications on both devices at the same time.
Step 5
If you want to turn your mobile computer into a kind of system unit, then select the "Duplicate screen" item. It is better to pre-assign the TV screen as the main display. This will avoid problems with setting the resolution. Connect a USB keyboard and mouse to your laptop and close the lid. The TV will now act as a monitor.
Step 6
If you need to output sound to the TV, then open the program designed to configure the parameters of the sound card. Find the "Audio Output Source" item and specify the HDMI port in it. Fine tune your audio settings.
