3. Determine the type of speakers (floor standing or bookshelf) that you need. It directly depends on the area of your premises.
Step 2
Do not put too large powerful speakers in a small room, otherwise your music will be mainly listened to by your neighbors. And you will listen to their opinion on this matter, expressed not always in a polite manner.

If you have a small room, use small speakers. There are times when it is possible to successfully arrange floor speakers in a small room, but this is more the exception than the rule. If you put your floorstanding speakers in a small room, you run the risk of buzzing bass, which is very annoying in a cheap subwoofer when adding bass to Winamp.
Step 4
Note that bookshelf speakers are inferior to floor standing speakers in terms of their sound scale. But they also have advantages: compactness and price: for the same money you can buy large bookshelf speakers with better micro-dynamic resolution than floor-standing ones. In this case, the loss of bass in depth will be insignificant for a small room.
Step 5
Acoustics experts have calculated that bookshelf speakers can provide a deeper picture of stereo sound, in which the localization in space of musical instruments and performers will be clearer.
Step 6
Choose your speakers so that they sound soft and the bass is not very deep, but at the same time so that the speakers can extract all the details from the sound. For example, hitting a drum, as it turned out, consists of briefly touching the membrane with a stick, followed by a hit, and then the vibrations of the membrane die down - this is not at all the thump that we are used to hearing.
