Step 1
Disconnect the device from the power source, open the top cover and remove the cartridge, remove the power cord and the cable for connecting the printer to the computer. Set the switch so that it does not interfere with the removal of the printer wall.
Step 2
Turn the device over and unscrew the screws on its back using a Phillips screwdriver, this model has 4 screws. Do the same with the screws on the fuser. When removing it from your printer, be very careful not to break the paper exit sensor.
Step 3
Raise the area of the scanner so that the special fasteners are exposed, flip them off in order to remove one of the side covers of the device. Be careful, these mounts are not entirely secure.
Step 4
Do the same on the other side. After removing all the walls, you should see the gearbox block, unscrew the mount and remove the device. Fold the screws from certain parts of the printer separately so as not to damage the threads in the future.
Step 5
Remove the laser scanner, disconnect the feeders. The best practice is to clean the inside of the printer. This is especially necessary if a large number of pages have been printed. Toner residues may also be present in the cartridge. Reassemble the printer in reverse order.
