Decide on your own needs. A laptop is, first of all, a convenient portable computing technology that provides the user with many opportunities for work. That is why it makes sense to buy it only if there is a need for mobility. In other words, if you are going to take it with you on the road or are going to use a laptop for presentations “in foreign territory”. Portable equipment will be in place even if there is a desire to change the place when working with it. For example, many people like to work with a laptop while lying on the couch or sitting comfortably in a rocking chair in front of a fireplace that spreads heat waves. But the laptop is definitely not suitable for the role of the main computing device, especially if you need high quality sound and video when working with video editing, audio processing in real time, mixing tracks and other complex tasks. This requires a powerful desktop computer.

For most office tasks, a low-power, inexpensive laptop or even a netbook will suffice. However, it should be borne in mind that in some cases the digital additional section of the keyboard is useful, which is not available on netbooks and in some cheap laptops. At the same time, such devices allow you to watch videos, launch simple toys and surf the Internet, albeit without much comfort.

The operating system installed on it is of great importance for working with a laptop. When choosing a device in the salon, you must pay attention to this without fail. The operating system must be the most up-to-date, as developers strive to improve their software products, and with each new version the system becomes better, more reliable and more secure. Therefore, buy gadgets with Windows 8, or even better, Windows 8.1. However, Microsoft Corporation provides users with a free upgrade to the latest version. You should not buy a device with a preinstalled system of the Linux family - Ubuntu or FreeBSD, since they do not provide even a hundredth part of the capabilities of a system from Microsoft. In addition, it will not always work, for example, a Wi-Fi module or a webcam. Never buy a laptop without a preinstalled system, even though it costs a couple thousand less. All the same, you will have to buy a system, look for the necessary drivers, or entrust all this to a master. You can, of course, use a pirated copy of the OS, but this is illegal, and therefore is not an acceptable option for us.
Step 4
Pay attention to the screen size and picture quality. A large screen is in many cases much more convenient than a small one, and high image quality means increased comfort in work and less eye fatigue. Good clarity, sufficient brightness and color are the key to pleasant communication with a laptop.
Step 5
There are other points to look out for when choosing the best (for yourself) laptop. A comfortable keyboard, better than an island type, the presence of a BlueTooth module, Wi-Fi, the location of headphone jacks, ports, controls - everything needs to be assessed. And finally, the most important thing. These are the amount of RAM, the amount of hard disk, the number of cores, and the clock speed of the processor.
