IPTV - (Internet Protocol Television) - television over the Internet protocol. Unlike cable or satellite TV, where an antenna or satellite is responsible for receiving a signal, IPTV works with an active connection to a special television service on the Internet.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a TV that supports IPTV connectivity. To be able to add and watch different channels, activate the corresponding service with your Internet provider. Usually, for this, technicians install a special program for viewing IPTV on a TV that has access to the Internet. If this is not possible, the client is offered to purchase a set-top box - a special device that connects to a TV and transmits an Internet TV signal to the screen.
Step 2
Connect the set-top box to the TV using the attached instructions. On the TV itself, set as the signal source the connector to which the set-top box is connected, and to it, in turn, connect the fiber-optic cable of the home Internet. In doing so, make sure that the Internet connection is active. Wait for the software to start and update. After that, the program will automatically search for available Internet channels or prompt you to specify the IPTV server manually. Lists of free IPTV servers can be found on the internet. Also, the required address must be provided by the provider when connecting the service.
Step 3
You can also add and watch IPTV channels on your home computer or laptop. To do this, it is also recommended to connect and pay for the corresponding service with an Internet provider. After that, download and install on your computer one of the programs designed for viewing IPTV, for example, IPTV-player. In the application settings, specify the address of a suitable Internet channel server, having learned it from the network or from your provider. You will see a list of channels available for viewing and will be able to switch between them. Remember that the speed of the Internet connection must be at least 2 Mbps.
