After shooting, the video is copied to a computer for further processing or recording to dvd. For this, each camera has a connector for connecting to a computer.
It is necessary
Camcorder, computer wire, computer, Adobe Premiere Pro, or any other video editor
Instructions
Step 1
Find the computer connector on the camcorder. It can be either miniUSB or miniDV connector.
Step 2
Connect the camera to your computer using a miniUSB / USB or miniDV / IEEE1394 cable. To do this, click on the camera to connect the camera to the computer, or simply put it into play mode. In the first case, to read files from the camera, you may need drivers, which are usually already installed on the hard drive of the camera itself. In the second case, it may be necessary to install a special IEEE1394 bus card on the computer to convert analog information from miniDV cassettes into digital format.
Step 3
Install the drivers. This process usually happens automatically. Press the OK key until a window appears indicating that the drivers have been successfully installed.
Step 4
Open a video editor on your computer. Windows Movie Maker is automatically installed on all Windows computers. Go to the File tab -> Import video from a digital camera. If you have a camera that records to miniDV cassettes, you will need any version of Adobe Premiere Pro.
Step 5
Install Adobe Premiere Pro. Preferably on the C drive. Automatically press ok until the installation is complete.
Step 6
Open Adobe Premiere Pro. Click New Project. Select the same file format in which you recorded the image. Enter a name for the entry and specify the directory where all data will be saved. As a rule, one miniDV cassette with a timing of one hour takes from 10 to 20 GB. The amount of free disk space should be at least three times the recording itself.
Step 7
Press the F5 key or select File -> Capture. A menu will appear for transferring the video image from the camera to the computer.
Step 8
Specify where to save the files. Often the directory and recording format may not coincide with the one specified at the very beginning of the project creation. Change it to the same one.
Step 9
In the menu, press the play button and then the rec button. The copying process will start. If the cassette is not rewound to the beginning, rewind it first. The copying process is always carried out in real time. Therefore, for every hour of video recording, an hour is required to copy. Leave everything like this.
Step 10
After copying is complete, save the file in the window that appears. Then go to the previously selected directory, where you will find the desired video.
