Most digital camera models support video recording. However, viewing it on the camera itself is not so convenient, so it is more logical to drop the video from the device to the computer's hard drive.
Instructions
Step 1
Connect the camera to your computer using a USB cable. To do this, insert one end of the cord into the device itself, and the other end into the USB connector of the computer system unit. Press the power button on the camera.
Step 2
Use Explorer to open the folder containing the contents of the camera. To do this, go to "My Computer" and click on the camera icon (sometimes the OS recognizes the camera as a removable disk). Find the necessary video files, select them with the left mouse button, while holding down the Ctrl key on the keyboard, then right-click and select "Copy" from the list. Open the folder for saving the video from the camera, right-click and select "Paste". Wait for all files to be copied.
Step 3
In addition, the video can be thrown using one of the file managers. Launch the corresponding application, then in one of its panels open the folder with the video in the camera, and in the other - the computer directory for saving the video. Select the files you want to copy to your hard drive and press the "Copy" button or hotkey (usually F5) to start the process.
Step 4
If the video in the camera is on a memory card, you can use the following method. Turn off the camera, open the side cover and remove the memory card. To do this, press it a little, then release it.
Step 5
Insert the memory card into your computer's card reader. It can be either built-in or plugged in with a USB cable. After the system detects the connection of a new removable device, open the folder with the contents of the memory card. Find the necessary video files, highlight them and copy them to your computer hard drive.
Step 6
After the end of the copying process in the system tray, click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon and select the memory card. Remove it from the computer and reinsert it into the camera.
