Typically, RCA cables are used to connect a DVD player to a TV. Most TVs have a sufficient number of connectors for connecting a player, but owners of older models may encounter certain difficulties.
Instructions
Step 1
Old Soviet-made TVs have only one connector for connection - the antenna input. The first option is to use an RF modulator (sometimes referred to as an RF modulator). The essence of his work is as follows. Audio and video signals from the DVD-player are fed to the input via RCA connectors, they are also called “tulips”. After that, the received signals are converted, which are fed to the output, and it, in turn, is connected to the antenna connector of the TV. As a separate module, similar modulators were used on the Sega game console. They can be purchased from specialized stores. For power supply, blocks of 5 volts are used.
Step 2
Also, to implement the connection of a DVD player, design changes can be made to the TV itself. To do this, you need to install an RCA jack to which the composite signal will be fed, put a switch. If your skills are not enough for this, take the TV to the workshop. Many of the craftsmen are able to cope with this task.
Step 3
If an old TV is understood as a model that has only one connector for connecting an audio signal, and not two, the problem is solved as follows. Connect the lead to the audio outputs of the DVD player. At the other end of the cable for there will be two plugs for connecting to the TV - red and white. Take the white plug and plug it into the only audio jack on your TV. This connection option will provide a mono sound mode.
Step 4
After that, you need to turn on the appropriate mode in the settings of the TV itself. To do this, open its menu, select the section responsible for adjusting the sound, and select the Mono, L / Mono or any other mode with a similar name depending on the TV model.
