Step 1
If you flood the display with water, coffee, etc., immediately turn off your phone and do not turn it on until you are sure that it is completely dry. Do not forget to open the phone, remove the battery and SIM card and see if there are any traces of moisture on its inner surfaces.
Step 2
Even if everything looks in order, leave the phone open for at least a day. Do not put it on heating devices and do not try to dry it with a hair dryer, so as not to completely ruin everything.
Step 3
Insert the battery back and try to turn on the phone. If it is in working order, take it, if possible, to a service for diagnostics, as often after a forced "bathing" the phones fail once and for all.
Step 4
In case of any other damage, you must first decide whether it is worth replacing the display, or it will be much cheaper to buy a new model. If you have resolved this issue in favor of an old phone, go to a cell phone parts store, show the broken phone to the seller, and he will tell you if there are displays on sale that are suitable for this model.
Step 5
Get a new display and a set of special screwdrivers if you decide to repair it yourself, without going to service. But if your phone has a touch screen, then in any case it is better for you to immediately contact the workshop, since it is impossible to fix such a device at home.
Step 6
Disconnect the phone, remove the SIM card and battery from it. Find on the Internet illustrated step-by-step instructions for replacing the screen of your mobile device model and read it.
Step 7
Choose a bit from the set of screwdrivers that matches the type of slot on the screws holding the phone parts together. Insert it into the screwdriver handle and disassemble the mobile phone following the guide.
Step 8
Take out the ribbon cable of the old display and carefully insert the new one. Assemble your phone. Insert SIM card and battery. Switch on the device and check its operation.
