Instructions
Step 1
Purchase all the necessary components to assemble the terminal. The system unit and its components, as well as a surge protector and an uninterruptible power supply, can be found in any computer store. In addition, buy a keyboard and mouse, an operating system, drivers for connecting a touch display and software for the payment system of your choice.
Step 2
Do not try to make the case yourself. This will not be possible without special equipment for metalworking and painting. When purchasing a finished case, pay special attention to the location of the elements inside it. Make sure the terminal components you choose are suitable for the enclosure type. This is important because the cases from different manufacturers are very different from each other.
Step 3
Install the terminal components inside the case, securing them with screws and nuts. Connect them with wires and cables, trying to combine them with ties into neat bundles. Install the operating system, drivers and software in advance. Connect the touch screen to the system unit.
Step 4
Install the bill validator into the mounting slot of the case and connect it to the system unit using a connecting cable. Please note that many bill validators do not have a standard cable in the kit, and it must be purchased separately. According to the instructions for the bill acceptor, assemble the cable and unsolder it for the connection protocol used, if the latter is necessary.
Step 5
Install and connect the receipt printer. Please note that if you initially purchased a cheap model, its installation will be as difficult as possible. Only the mid- to high-end models are easy to fit into the case and work reliably for many years.
Step 6
Install the modem, connect it to the system unit and make sure that the signal level at the place where the terminal is installed is sufficiently stable. Configure the operation of all components of the terminal separately, starting with the adjustment of the touch screen. After assembly, be sure to test the assembled device in all modes.
