Music is one of the oldest inventions of mankind. We listen to it for different purposes: to relax and unwind, in order to tune in the right way, and just for pleasure. Sometimes we need to split a song into two tracks - either in order to remove an unnecessary piece, or in order to simply divide it into two separate tracks.

Instructions
Step 1
First of all, you need an audio track editor. Find it on the internet and download it. Almost any will do - those that are free have enough functionality to edit tracks, and those that are paid have a trial period during which you can safely edit tracks.
Step 2
Unpack and install the distribution package of the program on your computer. Open the file that you are going to edit through it and wait for the download to finish. Be patient, depending on the file size, the download can take from a few seconds to half an hour.
Step 3
Set the play slider at the point in time at which you want to split the song. Select one of the parts of the track by dragging the mouse to the end of the track. Click on the "delete" button. This will delete half of the track.
Step 4
Click on "Save As" and save the file to your computer. Without closing the audio editor, click on the "step back" button and select another part of the track. Delete it and save the rest of the audio file on your computer.
Step 5
If necessary, repeat this algorithm until you divide the track into the required number of parts.
