During the operation of the constructed telephone infrastructure, there is often a problem of growth and increase in the number of users, connection of additional offices and regional branches. The problem can be solved both by completely replacing the existing equipment, and by combining telephone networks by connecting automatic telephone exchanges to each other.
Necessary
- - a computer or laptop with software for setting up a PBX, connected to the Internet;
- - telephone wire;
- - UTP cat.5 wire;
- - connectors rj11 / rj45;
- - tools for working with cable.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are faced with the task of increasing the capacity of the system by connecting an existing telephone exchange to a Panasonic PBX without noticeable distance between stations, use a universal method of connecting such systems using analog telephone lines and FXO / FXS ports. To do this, connect the internal analog ports (FXS) of one PBX to the trunk lines (FXO) of another station and vice versa. For connection it is recommended to use telephone wires with rj11 connectors at the ends. For such interaction, configure both PBXs using specialized software. The result will be a bi-directional PBX connection with the ability to call telephone exchange subscribers by prefix. It is important to understand that the number of simultaneous calls between the subscribers of the connected stations will be equal to the number of lines by which they are connected to each other.
Step 2
In the case of spacing the systems over short distances, while maintaining a large number of communication channels between stations, use the method of interfacing telephone exchanges using digital ISDN channels. To do this, connect the interface of a special ISDN card of one station to the ISDN interface of another PBX using a UTP cable with rj45 connectors at the ends. Configure both PBXs to interact with each other. The result is a system with end-to-end numbering and more flexible than in the first case, the interaction between the subscribers of both stations. The advantage of the method is a large number of connecting virtual lines, even if there is one physical connection.
Step 3
If you need to connect a regional office, connect the PBX to Panasonic PBX using VoIP technology. This technology allows you not to be limited by the distances at which the connected systems are located, and makes it possible to increase the number of connecting lines, depending on the current needs of the user. To connect stations to each other via VoIP channels, connect each PBX to the Internet and configure both stations to work with each other. Use secure virtual private networks to connect locations. Correct interaction of systems in the case of such a connection largely depends on the correct configuration of the network equipment. The result of the connection will be an integrated, full-featured system with loop-through and variable number of trunks.
