The Android operating system has become one of the most popular platforms for modern mobile devices. The OS has support for installing programs directly from a memory card, which simplifies the installation process and helps save space in the phone's memory and Internet traffic.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to be able to install an application downloaded from a computer to a memory card, you need to install a suitable file manager for your smartphone through the Market. To do this, go to the menu and select the "Market" shortcut.
Step 2
After the launch and download finishes, select the search icon in the upper right corner of the screen. A field for entering the name of the required program or its keywords will open. Enter "file manager" or write the name of a specific program (for example, astro or ES-Explorer). After completing the input, click on the button to the right of the field to start the search.
Step 3
In the list of results, select the application you are interested in and click "Download and Install". Wait for the end of the operation. You can see the progress in the notification panel (upper left corner of the screen).
Step 4
Go to the menu and select the file manager you have installed. Accept the terms of the license agreement.
Step 5
Download the program you need for Android on your computer, and then transfer it to your smartphone's USB flash drive using a card reader or cable. Insert the storage medium into your slot and wait for the device to fully recognize it.
Step 6
In the window of the selected file manager, go to the directory where you downloaded the program you need. Briefly click on the required file. In the window that appears, select "Install" or "Open Application Manager". Select the "Install" menu and click on the "Install" button.
Step 7
Wait for a message to appear on the device screen, which will tell you about the installation results. Go to the menu and you can run your program.
