Nokia mobile phones are available on three platforms: Series 40, Symbian, and Windows Phone 7. The order in which the date and time is set depends on which one your device is based on.
Instructions
Step 1
In a Series 40-based device, first press the one of the sub-screen keys above which the word “Menu” appears on the display. If it is not shown above any of them, press the middle button of the joystick. Find the item "Date and Time" in the menu structure. Its location depends on the model of the device, for example: "Settings" - "Parameters" - "General" - "Date and time".
Step 2
To change the value of any of the input fields, move the pointer over it, and then press the middle button of the joystick. Enter the new value from the keyboard, and then press the one of the sub-screen keys that corresponds to the storage of information (its name depends on the phone model).
Step 3
If the Auto Update Time field is set to On, the phone clock will automatically sync with the base station clock. Despite the cancellation of the transition to winter time, some of these stations are still configured in the old way, so an error of one hour is possible. On the other hand, the minutes will always be very accurate - so much so that periodic adjustments are not required at all.
Step 4
In phones based on Symbian operating system, set the date and time in the same way. The only difference is the way the menu is called up. Instead of one of the subscreen keys or the middle button of the joystick, use a separate key for this, which depicts a solid circle and a hollow square connected by two arcs.
Step 5
The way of setting the date and time in all phones on the Windows Phone 7 platform, including the Nokia Lumia series, is unified. First, scroll down the desktop to the tab where the Settings icon is located. It looks like a white gear on a red background. A menu will appear. Select "Date + Time" in it. Change the options you want. To enable or disable automatic synchronization, respectively, check or uncheck the "Installed automatically" checkbox.
