To increase the performance of the computer, it is recommended to adjust the parameters of the CPU and RAM. To do this, you need to set the value of the clock frequency of both these devices.

Necessary

  • - CPU-Z;
  • - Clock Gen.

Instructions

Step 1

Begin the process of optimizing your computer by assessing its health. Install the CPU-Z program. Remember the values describing the parameters of the CPU operation. Now download and install the Clock Gen software that matches your motherboard model.

Step 2

Run this utility. Now, by moving the sliders located near the FSB and AGP items, set the value of the CPU bus frequency. Naturally, increase these indicators by the minimum value. Click the Save button and check if your computer is working properly. Repeat the process of increasing the bus frequency until the BSOD error occurs.

Step 3

Unfortunately, this program does not provide for the possibility of increasing the voltage of the central processor. Restart your computer and enter the BIOS menu by pressing the Del key. Now press the keyboard shortcut required to open the additional menu (usually Ctrl + F1).

Step 4

Go to the item responsible for the parameters of the CPU and RAM. Find the Voltage menu and increase the voltage reading. Naturally, raise the voltage by 0.1 volts initially. Now set the desired value of the clock frequency of the bus of the central processor. It is recommended to initially raise this indicator.

Step 5

Restart the computer every time after setting new parameters of the central processor. If you have set the maximum bus frequency, then try increasing the factor. Open the CPU settings menu in BIOS.

Step 6

Find the value of the multiplier (usually it ranges from x4 to x10). Increase your CPU multiplier by 1 point. Restart your computer and run CPU-Z to check if the processor is stable. Repeat this process for best performance.
