Step 1
When you turn on the kettle does not heat the water First, make sure that there is voltage in the outlet and the problem is in the kettle. Then empty the water from the kettle, turn it over and unscrew all the fixing screws, then remove the case. Remove the switch and inspect it - it may be damaged. If the switch bursts or melts, the reason is probably in it - it needs to be replaced. Buy an identical switch from the store, install it and reassemble the kettle in the reverse order. If everything is in order with the switch, find the leads of the thermal element. It can be a spiral or disc heating element. Connect an ohmmeter to its terminals and check its resistance - it should be in the range of 24 to 120 ohms. If the resistance is greater than the rating specified in the passport, descale the element. To do this, boil half a teapot of water, add the descaler and leave it until the bubbles stop forming. If a rupture of the coil is observed, it is better to replace the thermal element by loosening the mounting screws. If the thermal element is OK, replace the fuse.
Step 2
The kettle shuts off too early or does not turn off when the water boils If it turns off too early, adjust the bimetal plate of the circuit breaker. To do this, disassemble the kettle, find the circuit breaker and adjust it with the screws that screw it to the body. By manipulating the switch, find the optimal mode. If the kettle does not turn off, adjust the bimetallic plate of the circuit breaker in the same way. If it does not help, replace the switch.
Step 3
Kettle Leaking If the kettle is leaking due to damage to the casing, replace the appliance. If not, check the water level indicator by removing the kettle body. If leaking through it, buy and install a new one. If leakage occurs through the fuser mounting screws, simply tighten them. Did not help? Unscrew the screws, remove the thermocouple and change the rubber gasket.
