Select the type of speaker layout. If you are connecting the speaker system to a computer, it is better to purchase the 2.0 kit. It consists of two relatively large blocks on which the speakers are located. For a DVD player, a 5.1 system consisting of five small satellites and one subwoofer is preferable. The ability to place the speakers at the desired points in the room will ensure high-quality sound.

Consider the number of "bands" of your speaker system if you decide to use the 2.0 kit. Two-way speakers provide average sound quality with emphasis on low frequencies. Usually these are budget acoustics. Don't buy expensive two-way systems. It’s of little use.

Multi-way loudspeakers allow for more detailed channel assignment. They usually consist of 2-3 woofers and 1-2 tweeters. Thus, high quality sound is achieved. When using acoustics at home, it is better to neglect the power of the speakers, focusing on sound quality. Naturally, it is preferable to choose multiband systems.

Pay attention to the material from which the body of the stereo system is made. Practice shows that plastic surfaces strongly distort the signal. It is better to purchase speakers with a case made of wood. Fans of modern club music and its derivatives should pay attention to the frequency range. Moreover, it is the upper limit of reproduction that is important.
