To eliminate this problem, specify in the application settings the parameters of the virtual COM port used by the program to connect to the GPS receiver. Connection problems may arise if the navigation software on your device does not recognize or detect the GPS receiver, even when it is built into your mobile device. This is because the default GPS settings are incorrect.

To determine the COM-port and its speed directly for your PDA, install the GPSinfo program, which should be supplied on the disk with the device. After installing the program, scan all ports and find out which one has GPS. Take the data of this port and use it for further configuration.

Use the same program to test the connection to the receiver to make sure everything is working correctly. To do this, click the "Start GPS" button, and you will see that the program displays the data received from the satellites.

Turn off GPSinfo after final configuration as it will prevent navigation from using a busy port.
