Samsung specializes in the production of audio-video equipment, laptops and various electronics. Recently, a lot of the company's efforts have been directed to active development and support of tablet computers and smartphones.
Samsung's new mobile devices will differ from their previous counterparts in a number of parameters. The main changes concern the operating system. Those lines of tablet computers that previously worked with the Windows Seven operating system will be equipped with the modern Windows 8 system.
Samsung's latest Galaxy tablet computers ran Android 4, called Ice Cream Sandwich. The new Galaxy Nexus devices will run Android 4.1. This system is called Jelly Bean.
In addition to the expected devices, the company will present interesting novelties. These devices include a miniature tablet computer Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 4.2. The diagonal display of this tablet is only 4.2 inches. In this case, the device will be endowed with a full-fledged USB 2.0 port, two cameras, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules.
The changes will also affect the popular Galaxy Tab product line. In February 2012, the Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P5100 was launched. This tablet is equipped with a 10.1 display. The company has suspended production of this model in order to equip it with a 4-core processor. The Exynos 4412's CPU performance is a quarter higher than previous devices. At the same time, its power consumption is reduced by about 40%, which is important for tablet PC processors.
It is important to note that only devices with a 10-inch screen will undergo global changes. The configuration of many released devices will be changed for the better. Certain models will receive built-in 3G modules and new batteries. As for the Galaxy Note line, these devices will be equipped with new displays that support a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This change will affect even 7-inch tablets.
