Formatting allows you to clear the phone from all data and restore all settings made to the factory settings. Phones of different companies are formatted differently, the oldest models can be returned to factory settings only in a service center using special equipment.
Instructions
Step 1
Nokia smartphones and phones are formatted by entering a combination of numbers in the dialing mode. If you dial * # 7780 #, then all settings will be reset to factory defaults, but your data will remain intact. When you enter * # 7370 #, a hard-reset will be applied and the phone will be completely cleaned and formatted. After entering this combination, you will need to specify the unlock code, which by default is 12345.
Step 2
To format Samsung phones, you need to enter a combination in dialing mode * 2767 * 3855 #. All uploaded user data will be deleted, leaving only the standard content that was installed at the factory.
Step 3
For Sony Ericsson there are no special codes for resetting the settings, the menu item "Settings" - "Reset to factory settings" is responsible for this. Symbian cell phones are formatted using a similar code for Nokia - * # 7370 #.
Step 4
iPhone is formatted from the appropriate menu in the "Settings" - "General" - "Recovery". Select "Delete All Data" and a warning message will appear. Confirm your choice, after which the smartphone screen turns off and then the standby icon appears. When formatting is complete, the Apple logo will appear and the phone will automatically reboot.
Step 5
For Android phones, there is also a corresponding item in the phone menu. Go to the menu "Settings" - "Security" - "Factory reset" - Reset phone settings ". All settings and data from the phone will be completely deleted.
